Apple & cinnamon bircher
Serves 2 Prep time: 5 mins Cook time: soak overnight
Ingredients
200ml apple juice 80g oats 1 apple (approx 130g) grated ¼tsp cinnamon 2tbsp (90g) 0% Greek-style yoghurt 12 almonds sliced
Directions
1 Combine oats, apple juice, grated apple and cinnamon in a bowl.
2 Place into two glasses and cover with cling film. Leave to soak for at least 30 mins or overnight in fridge.
3 Remove from the fridge and top with yoghurt and chopped nuts.
Additional information: Oats are high in protein and fibre while being rich in vitamins E and B. They are believed to soothe the digestive system while reducing cholesterol. This breakfast takes minutes to make and can be left in fridge overnight for the morning. Make in jars for a great, on-the-go breakfast.
