Why Mark & Michelle have to split

Separate lives, split rumours and possibly an anniversary spent apart. What does the future hold for Michelle and Mark?

-

They married in a starry ceremony two years ago, and their romance continues to enchant their fans. But it seems there is a small possibility, given their separate hectic work commitments, that the couple may spend their second anniversary, on 24 May, apart…

Speaking to Lorraine Kelly on her show last month, Mark said, ‘Michelle goes away for quite a few months. But I’ll be going back and forth when I can fit it in around work, so I’ll probably be out there for the anniversary. We’ll try to make it work.’

Michelle Keegan’s acting career is going from strength to strength, and she’s currently abroad, with filming having started on the third series of hit Army drama Our Girl.

Now cheeky Essex boy Mark Wright, 30, looks to be catching her up, having landed a top Hollywood presenting job on massive US showbiz programme Extra, with its audience of millions.

In his first behind-thescenes piece, he’ll reportedly visit the set of former One Direction star Niall Horan’s music video. If it goes down well with viewers, it’s believed more work will follow.

So, while Mark is likely to be working hard on his profile in the US, ex- Corrie star Michelle, 29, has got stuck into the eight-month stint abroad filming her BBC One drama. She’ll be away for three months, come home briefly this summer, then fly out again.

And, after investing in Billericay Town Football Club, increasingly in-demand DJ and ex- The Only Way Is Essex star Mark could have more live gigs in the summer.

The couple were snapped looking happy and loved-up in Paris last month, but that short getaway is unlikely to make the time apart any easier for the couple.

They have previously fended off repeated reports of trouble and strife, which must have been frustrating.

After shooting abroad for two months for the second series of Our Girl last year, Michelle knows the break from Mark will get people talking.

‘I am married but I don’t have to sit at home,’ she said recently. ‘I’ve got to go away for work. Mark will come and visit me and it will be fine.’

They’ve survived the distance once, so we’re sure absence will just make the heart grow fonder.

‘She’s away for quite a few months. But I’ll be going back and forth – we’ll try to make it work…’
