Junior’s plea to Katie: ‘Stop now, Mummy!’
She’s been going under the knife for more than 20 years, and now Junior tells Katie Price…
Last year, Katie Price confessed to having three cosmetic procedures in one day. In January, the 39-year-old even documented one of her lip injections – shocking us all as she pouted and smiled with bleeding lips in the video. And while fans’ pleas for her to stop have fallen on deaf ears, there’s one person she might listen to – her own son. Junior, 12, Katie’s first child with ex Peter Andre, hasn’t hidden his horror at her procedures. Appearing on Loose Women last year, he said of his mum’s cosmetic work, ‘I think you’ve had too much. You don’t need to have loads of it.’
The former glamour model recently came under fire for getting face fillers, which fans argued left her looking plump, puffy and a little ‘plastic’.
Addressing the comments on Loose Women, Katie revealed that Junior was less than impressed. While insisting that none of the work on her face is permanent, Katie disclosed, ‘Junior said to me, “Mum, your eyebrows are fake, you’ve got fake eyelashes on, you’ve had your lips done, you’ve had your nose done and your teeth, and now you’ve put those things in your face – why?!”’
With this amount of cosmetic work done before the age of 40, could Katie also risk doing herself damage if she doesn’t stop?
Cosmetic plastic surgeon Mo Akhavani, of The Plastic Surgery Group in London, tells best, ‘Often, the yardstick for “too much” work is when someone starts to look like someone else.’
And aesthetic practitioner Natali Kelly* comments, ‘Over-injecting the lips with filler can cause serious complications, such as skin necrosis. That means the tissue of the lip and surrounding area could die. This is permanent, as are the psychological effects it can have on your confidence.
‘ You should only use FDA dissolvable products and a qualified, registered medical practitioner for best results.’
Within Katie’s family circle, Junior’s not the only one who disapproves of her look. Her mum, Amy, was openly horrified with her daughter’s appearance on the ITV show, stating, ‘I can’t bear it!’
Let’s hope Katie heeds those closest to her and quits while she’s ahead…
