Why we love royal rascal Mia Tindall

She’s the tiny tot who’s captured our hearts – and doesn’t cheeky Mia Tindall know

She may be just three years old, but Mia Tindall has already won fans across the globe.

Described by her parents – the Queen’s granddaughter, Zara Tindall, 36, and her rugby-player hubby, Mike – as being quite the handful, Mike has said, ‘She’s got quite a little personality on her. We encourage that.’

And it’s precisely Mia’s free-spirited, cheeky ways that have charmed royal fans.

Most recently, the toddler was snapped throwing a tantrum during a day out with her parents at the Festival of British Eventing, as she pouted and stomped – refreshingly normal behaviour, and something every parent can surely relate to!

But this is far from the first time Mia’s charisma and high spirits have been caught on camera. The boisterous tot is regularly snapped playing up, as well as laughing and joking with her mum and dad – riding high on Mike’s shoulders or planting kisses on Zara’s face.

As Mike, 38, previously revealed, ‘She just loves being outside and is full of life… She also loves fairground rides and trampolines. We have a trampoline in the back garden and she would happily bounce on it most of the day.’

And, when Mia’s not entertaining her parents, she also has a noticeably close bond with other members of the Royal Family.

You only have to look at photos of her playing with her cousin, Prince Harry, 32, to see the two enjoy spending time together – the pair are often snapped making trouble and erupting into fits of giggles at family gatherings, alongside their third partner-in-crime – Mia’s four-year-old cousin, Prince George. And she’s often seen wreaking havoc around her grandmother, Princess Anne, 66, who clearly dotes on her.

Mia and her great-grandmother, the Queen, also have a unique and lovely bond. During what has now become an iconic photoshoot to celebrate the Queen’s 90th birthday on 21 April 2016, Mia ensured all eyes were on her – by stealing her great-granny’s handbag to hold.

Revealing how the pictureperfect shot came about, doting dad Mike revealed, ‘It just happened at the right time. Mia was being a bit naughty. The Queen got it quite right when she told her, “Just hold the handbag now.” And she did that.

‘It just turned out to be the right photo at the right time and it will be something we’ll always cherish,’ her proud father continued.

It’s one of the many heart-warming moments Mia has provided – and we’re sure there’ll be plenty more.

‘We have a trampoline in the garden and she’d happily bounce all day!’
