Soon-to-be-royal Meghan Markle, 36, has been identified as the likely anonymous author behind a popular online diary, written between 2010 and 2012.

Dubbing herself ‘The Working Actress’, the author penned a candid blog that she wrote ‘as if no one was reading’ about being a struggling actress in Hollywood.

In a brutally honest style, she discussed the downsides of her job, from being treated like a ‘show-pony’ to ‘ kissing co-stars with bad breath’.

Speaking about the emotional punch in the gut of being rejected for a role, the actress confessed that she would sometimes pass the day ‘sobbing in bed with a bottle of wine’. Elsewhere, she described what it was like to do a love scene with an actor who had got, let’s just say, a bit carried away.

Having repeatedly refused to do interviews, the mysterious writer suddenly signed off in 2012, explaining that she’d landed her big break, a role in a new TV series – around the same time that Suits, Meghan’s hit US legal drama, burst on to screens.

Although Meghan’s identity as the writer of these secretive diaries has been ‘confirmed’ by actor Lance Carter and other Hollywood ‘sources’, whether it screams ‘future princess’ is open to question.
