How are you feeling after the split from Gabby?
I’m very upset. I made a mistake. I regret it and wish I could take it back, but I can’t. It’s hard, with everyone saying, ‘I can’t believe you’ve done this!’ I’m thinking, ‘I can’t believe I’ve done it, either.’ My mum was disappointed – she thinks it’s ‘not me’.
Do you feel like you’re getting a hard time?
There’s a lot of judgement. But sometimes relationships aren’t as smooth-sailing as they appear on social media. You’re not going to post about the bad times. I do regret it so much, though. I do love Gabby. I miss her.
Are you dating again?
I am so off dating right now. I’m just focusing on my music. Obviously, down the line, I’ll try again. But there’s an arena tour with Blazin’ Squad first!
Are you excited for the new series of Love Island?
I can’t wait. I haven’t watched my year yet, I find it stressful watching myself on TV. It’ll be great to sit back and watch.
What advice would you give to the newbies going into the show?
Be yourself. They’ve added another week this year – when I got to the sixth week, I just wanted to go home. They’ll be there for eight weeks, so I’d advise them to try not to cause any animosity with anyone – you need your friends in there. Be chilled!
Have you spoken to Love Island host Caroline Flack since her engagement [to former Apprentice candidate Andrew Brady]?
It’s great! If they’re in love, why shouldn’t they do it quickly? I probably wouldn’t get engaged after only three months, but I do things slower! l Love Island is on nightly, at 9pm on ITV2.
