hat on earth is going on with Katie Price? We haven’t seen her on Loose Women – her most regular TV gig – for quite a while, though she’s never out of the headlines. Last week, she revealed that Kieran Hayler, who she split from last year after his affair with the nanny, had cheated again – this time, with a 19-year-old local shopworker. The troubled 40-year-old said she felt like she’d ‘wasted five years’ with Kieran, 31, dad to Jett, four, and Bunny, three. And the former glamour model was clearly at pains to show she’s moving on with a new toy boy – Kris Boyson, 29.
Yet the mother-of-five – who is also dealing with the stress of mum Amy, 64, battling terminal lung disease – hasn’t allowed herself to take a breather before moving on.
Despite only going public with fitness instructor Kris last month, the couple have already been away together twice. Katie maintains her new man is ‘not false or fame hungry. I think this is going to be a more normal relationship and less toxic’.
Some Twitter users haven’t been kind, one saying, ‘Last week she said she wanted to stay single, but a couple of weeks before she said she always has someone on the back burner because she doesn’t want to be single.’
Just last week, Katie announced she wouldn’t be against getting married again – and would like to have two more kids before the age of 50. Seems an odd statement to make, especially as Junior, 13, and Princess, 10, are – according to reports – living with Peter Andre.
A representative for Katie confirmed that the kids are living in the Andre family home, telling one paper, ‘ What is important [is] that the focus is on what is best for the children during tough times.
‘Katie is a remarkable mother, Peter is a wonderful father, together they are doing what is best for their children.’
Rumours suggest Peter decided to move the kids in with him at this turbulent time.
When Katie’s own life seems to be in such a state of meltdown, it’s got to hurt – especially when Peter and his wife Emily seem the epitome of settled contentment.
