‘From the minute Daniel Craig turned up in Casino Royale, I knew he was Bond, my Bond. So I’m over the moon that he’s agreed to do another. I’m wondering, though, if they should be doing a remake of Never Say Never Again, because after Spectre he said he’d “rather slit his wrists” than go back.
I really admire him for it. Changing your mind is good, and that dogged determination not to – for fear of what people might think – can stop you doing something that might be best, or really good for you.
I’m a bit shameless when it comes to U-turns, always saying I’ll never do this, I’ll never do that, then doing them anyway.
“I’m never drinking again” is a regular on my never circuit, and we know how that always ends. Although, I haven’t actually had a drink in over a week now. Not that you’d know that from the tosh written in a rival weekly magazine.
I did Celebrity Big Brother in 2013, even though I repeatedly insisted there wasn’t a cat in hell’s chance of me ever going into that house to sleep with strangers. I swore I’d never marry again after my first disastrous marriage and divorce but, finally, after more than nine years of being engaged, that really is about to go out of the window.
And then there’s my face. I was never going to have Botox and fillers, and sneered at those who did. Now, I’ve not only tried both, but I’ve gone one further and gone and got a full-on face refit.
Oh, and one more thing: I’ve been saying for years that I’ll never go back to working on TV but, you know… No, you NEVER know!’
