£1 million match! Dani & Jack: Love Island’s biggest success

They’re the perfect match, they look great on TV - and they’re set to make at least £1 million...

- WORDS: SHELLEY MARSDEN

Whether Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham won this year’s LoveIsland was almost irrelevant – they’d already captured the hearts of the nation from the get-go.

As soon as barmaid Dani – daughter of EastEnders hardman Danny Dyer – set eyes on pen salesman Jack Fincham, with his bright white teeth glinting under the Majorcan sun, you knew you were witnessing a real-life Cockney love-story, playing out before your very eyes.

There’s something so likeable about this pair – and how they remained not only deeply loyal to each other, but to their mates in the villa, too.

But, on top of realising Jack, 26, and Dani, 21, were probably the most genuine couple in there, we soon found out they were funny, too.

They had us in stitches with their impressions of Eyal and Hayley, as they did when they were in a local supermarket food shopping for the entire villa – cue dodgy Spanish and hilarious gestures as they attempted to explain ‘chicken breasts’ to the bemused shop-worker.

Our golden couple had the odd argument – most explosively after Jack failed the question Dani was most worried about on his lie detector test [‘ Would Jack be tempted by girls outside the villa?’]. Ouch. But given Jack wasn’t lying (we hope!) when he said he wanted to spend the rest of his life with Dani and have kids with her, we knew they’d get over it.

And they had way more Romeo-and-Juliet moments than big blow-ups, from Jack rallying the troops to cook a surprise breakfast for Dani, to when they ran into the sea giggling like two big kids, following Dani’s confession that Jack was ‘the first boy she’d ever sat on a beach with’.

They proved so popular with viewers that there are now strong rumours the witty, what-you-see-is-what-you-get lovebirds will get their own spin-off show – and nothing would make us happier!

The money is sure to roll in, too, if the salaries of Love Island’s 2017 stars are anything to go by. According to Denise Palmer-Davies, director of Borne Media, who managed Stacey Solomon after she won I’m A Celebrity, ‘Jack and Dani will be millionaires because they have the “likeability” factor. They’ll be offered TV slots and appearances on shows such as This Morning and Loose Women. Papers and magazines will want the “first” exclusive holiday pics and interview, moving in, engagement… Then there’s fashion ranges, social media endorsements and, I suspect, the larger brands will be offering anything from cars to holidays, all with a generous figure attached to them.’

Also, let’s face it – their romance has moved at such breakneck speed, you can’t help but wonder if there’ll be wedding bells soon.
