Danny’s warning for Dani
Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham may be serious, but Dani’s dad has words of caution…
Love Island has changed Dani Dyer’s life for good. The 22-year-old has come out of the ITV2 reality TV monster hit with prize money in her pocket, a nation of fans and a soon-tobe-husband.
But Dani’s dad, EastEnders actor Danny Dyer, 41 – who had Dani with his wife, Joanne Mas, when they were just 18 – has urged the couple to take things slowly and enjoy their lives before settling down.
‘ You should live your life first,’ he told her. ‘There are benefits to having kids early, but you lose a lot of your own childhood and self-discovery.’
Danny said that looking after his baby daughter had been a ‘24-hour-a-day thing’ for him and Joanne.
He added, ‘Sex goes out the window a little bit, and you have to start earning properly.’
And his daughter seems to be listening. ‘Right now, I’m just happy to be with Jack,’ she confirmed. ‘It ain’t about planning when we’re going to have kids. When we’re both ready, we’ll talk about it.’
Since leaving the villa, the pair haven’t left each other’s side. Dani has met Jack’s family and friends in Kent, and Jack, 26, met Dani’s family when they threw a 22nd birthday party for their eldest daughter at their Essex home.
But fame doesn’t seem to have gone to the winners’ heads – not yet, anyway. Forget swanky restaurants. The pair have been spotted out twice now – once buying a £3.25 meal deal from the Co-op and, the following day, tucking into a McDonald’s.
It’s this down-to-earth attitude that made them the nation’s favourites. Let’s hope they don’t ever change!
