Venice really does have to be seen to be believed, and there are views everywhere to make you swoon – from the awe-inspiring Piazza San Marco to the Grand Canal and Bridge of Sighs – you’ll want to see them all. Take a gondola ride, visit one of the many museums, get lost in the labyrinth of cobblestone streets or simply stroll around the canals.
CASANOVA EXCURSION
Join Linda on a fascinating walking tour, and learn about the exciting life of one of the most famous lovers
in history. Casanova was famously imprisoned in solitary confinement within the Doge’s Palace for ‘grave faults committed in public outrages against the holy religion’. On this tour, you’ll see how he managed to escape with the help of a renegade priest through secret passageways and visit his home, before you head to the famous Rialto Bridge.
