‘Slippery’ Kevin, Stacey and that Strictly curse

With her reign about to end, could the current Glitterball champ be fearing the worst about ‘slippery’ beau Kevin?

Over on the horizon, the 32-year-old ex- Strictly star has opened up about her introduction to ‘ Throuples’ – three people who live together in a relationship. The unusual set-up was just one of the investigations Stacey undertook for the show, and she’s been left fascinated by it…

‘I’m not a polyamorist, but from what I understand, they mirror everything you would do in a relationship where there’s only two of you… but there are obviously three of them,’ said the flame-haired beauty. ‘Everyone has sex with everyone, they all text and call each other, and you check in with both or all your partners to make sure that they’re OK.’

And that gave the star pause for thought, as she said, ‘Many people, I imagine, would be riddled with jealousy, or they wouldn’t be able to hack it.’

Perhaps the thought of there being more than two people in a relationship struck too close to home for Stacey, given the scepticism surrounding her current relationship with three-times married Strictly pro Kevin Clifton.

Stacey and Kevin, 36, became an item after the pair won the dance show

last year, just as journalist Stacey’s relationship with her boyfriend of five years, Sam Tucknott, came to an end.

Though Stacey said they’d already decided to call it a day before she and Kevin became an item, Sam famously called Kevin a ‘slippery snake’.

Kevin’s third divorce – from fellow Strictly star Karen Clifton in 2018, after three years of marriage – surprised the nation, as did his relationship with Stacey.

In a recent interview, Stacey explained, ‘Kev and I have agreed not to go into much detail about our private lives… that’s why we’ve turned down interviews that have offered us tens of thousands of pounds.’

Who knows where this glittery love story will end? But it’s likely Stacey’s fans wouldn’t be impressed were Kevin to foxtrot his way into another partnership come September…
