Lucia Markson, 45, lives in Surrey. She’s just got back from a Just You National Parks holiday in the USA. ‘My trip to the National Parks with Just You was awesome. I got to see parts of the USA I’d never visited before, like the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone National Park. It’s an experience I won’t forget.

I booked my first Just You holiday in 2016. I was nervous, but our tour manager was friendly and easy to talk to, and when I met the other travellers I realised we were all in the same boat and made friends quickly. After my first trip, I just wanted to do it all over again! It really boosted my confidence and I’ve booked several more trips since.
For me, the social aspect is just as important as having alone time. There’s always a group that go out to eat together in the evenings and talk about their day. I love meeting people from different backgrounds and cultures, hearing their stories and sharing tips on where to travel next. My next trip is Puglia in May 2020. I’m also looking at Malta and Vietnam – there’s just so much choice!’
