1 Paul O’Grady: For the Love of Dogs

WEDNESDAY, ITV, 8PM NEW SERIES There’s always a massive ‘aah’ factor as Paul returns to Battersea Dogs and Cats Home. Such is the Scouse comic’s rapport with the needy pooches that he struggles every week to not just take all of them home. Again, he faces great temptation in this first episode in the form of seven Staffie puppies whose mum has rejected them, and a 13-year-old stray who was found wandering the streets of London. (Come on Paul, surely you’ve got room for eight more down on the farm?) Paul says, ‘I’m back! With a whole load of new canine friends who, despite tough beginnings, go on to do incredible things.’
