Good Fairy Gloria tells a story…

-

O ver the next eight pages the Good Fairy, Gloria Hunniford, narrates the story of Christmas in the land of best…

B est celebrity writer Dani Southwood couldn’t attend any red carpet events this Winter, so she was set to work in the garden, alongside best celebrity chef Theo Michaels, her very own Buttons

Who sent them to work? The best of Wicked Queens, Linda Lusardi, who was never going to allow anyone to dress better than her (in the garden anyway)

Dani’s ugly step sisters – Lady Anastasia Ofoedu and Lady Drusilla Biggins – had both received invites to the only party being held in the kingdom – Prince Sam Kane’s garden ball. But there was no invite for poor Dani…

Meanwhile, her stage father, a handsome and wealthy gentleman, sometimes referred to as best columnist Mr Eamonn Holmes (see page 15), was away on important business…

So Fairy Godmother Vanessa (used to dealing with problems as best’s agony aunt, see page 30) arrived in one of her many sparkly frocks to wave a wand over Dani and a pumpkin and – poof – suddenly a coach appeared and Dani was in a ball gown…

B ut while she had the most marvellous time, Dani’s coach turned back into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight… and, by the time she got home, her dress was rags once again…

U ntil Prince Sam began to tour the land with Dani’s lost sparkling shoe, to see who it would fit. It certainly wasn’t Drusilla Biggins but…

When he tried the shoe on Dani, it fitted! Cheers rang out across the garden of best and Fairy God Mum Vanessa turned Dani into a Princess with a crown, and they all lived Happily Ever After… well – as much as Covid-19 would allow…
