Presenter and author Fern Britton’s response to a cheeky admirer’s flirtatious comment has us wondering – is she ready to find love again?
Following her shock split from TV chef Phil Vickery last year after 20 years of marriage, Fern Britton is showing signs that she could be ready to move on.
Sounding rather flirty, she replied to a male admirer on Twitter after he offered to ‘tuck her into bed’.
Talking to her 79K followers, Fern, 63, posted a snap showing a bowl of tortilla chips, a martini and a beautiful bouquet of daffodils, the mumof-four wrote alongside the picture from her home: ‘Just finished writing for the day.
‘Daffs, dry gin martini (olives, dirty) bowl of tortillas. I think this’ll sort me right out. Going to watch #TheDig #netflix xxxx.’
Fans took to the comments section of Fern’s post to share their thoughts on her cosy Saturday evening.
One wrote: ‘ We also watched that tonight – isn’t it beautiful?’
Another, ‘Good idea, daffs are my favourite flowers remind me of my childhood back home in Ireland.’
A third fan commented: ‘Enjoy, and well deserved. I’d love to write a fiction book. Political thriller.’
But one particularly eager male commenter brilliantly replied, ‘If you need tucking into bed later give me a shout, I’m your man’ – with two kiss emojis!
Quick as you like, Fern replied mischievously, ‘I’m ready to be tucked in.’
It comes after the former This Morning presenter admitted she was ‘feeling down’, after her estranged husband Phil, 59, shared his ‘ happiness’ following the split. Charming.
