Jack Osbourne’s Fright Club

-

Hosted by Jack Osbourne, Discovery+’s Fright Club sees Ozzy and Sharon’s son compete with his ‘Ghost Brothers’ to try to find the creepiest, wackiest footage of the paranormal – featuring everything from UFOs and Bigfoot to ghosts. At the end of each episode, they must vote on which clip was scariest. Here dad-of-three Jack, 35, chats about ghosts and life in lockdown…

Fright Club is a scary show – have you ‘enjoyed’ making it?!

Yes, it has been fun. I was a giant XFiles nerd as a kid and somehow, I have managed to make a job out of it!

Do you all get competitive over who can find the most frightening encounter?!

Oh yeah, we get very competitive with it! We bust each other’s balls as much as we can. It’s four guys trying to scare each other with clips!

Do you believe in ghosts?

I do believe – but I don’t think it is what we think it is. I don’t think it is cut and dry. Mind you, at times, I do get totally spooked out where every cell in my body is going, ‘Leave this place now’!

What has been your most frightening encounter?

I think the one that really freaked me out was at a prison in Pennsylvania. While I was talking to my producer, there was a big industrial old lamp above my head and it started violently swinging! There was no wind. I cra**ed myself!

We’re guessing you don’t show your three daughters the videos?!

My daughters went through a phase of wanting to watch the show over the Summer, but they got freaked out. So they are not allowed to watch it now!

How has lockdown been for you?

The home-schooling has been very challenging. Over the

‘I believe in ghosts!’

Summer, two of my daughters got Covid. They had a fever for 36 hours and then they were all good. I thought I would get it but I didn’t – nor did my girlfriend or eldest daughter. Unfortunately, my ex-wife got it from them, though.

You’ve been lucky to work in lockdown…

I have lucked out to be working during lockdown in a pandemic. But listen; it has been depressing and scary at times. My mum was in hospital with Covid in December and it was not all ‘click my heels to the Covid sunset’. There are three people I know who have lost a parent. It’s a very real thing…
