Loose-lipped Linda: Who’s she calling ‘boring’?
They once appeared together as Loose Women, but now – even though this fellow pannellist is long departed from the show – she and Linda Robson can still find things to disagree about…
In her time, Kelly Brook has been a breakfast show presenter, a model, a DJ, an actress and also – for a brief stint – a Loose Woman panellist, somewhat unsuccessfully.
Reflecting recently, she admitted: ‘The trouble with Loose Women is that the panel can’t all have the same opinion. I was always on that show as the childless, glamorous one. It didn’t work.
‘Most people sitting at home watching have got children – and I didn’t have the same life as that audience. I was always going to be the unpopular one.
‘I felt there was so much negativity aimed towards me. I would come off air and I’d go on Twitter – and see the things people were saying about me. Loose Women wasn’t for me.
‘I gave it a shot but I didn’t like it and I don’t think the audience liked me either.’ Mum-of-two Linda Robson, who’s been a favourite on the ITV daytime show since 2012, disagreed, saying: ‘I think they go on there because they’ve got things to talk about. ‘That just sounds boring that you would say that about yourself, that you were childless and glamorous.’ Anxious not to cause a row, Linda added: ‘Kelly is lovely, but I think most of us have got children, partners or we’re separated and then sometimes you run out of things to talk about, maybe.
‘She was only on there for a little while and then I don’t know whose choice it was for her to go or if she just got another job, I don’t know.’
And as for being the ‘glamorous one’ on the panel, Linda insisted that all the Loose ladies are gorgeous.
‘There are lots of glamorous people on there,’ she added.
‘I think we’re all quite glamorous, well, I like to think we are!
‘Maybe not when we arrive there but when we go on air, we all look bloody gorgeous.’
