Jess Wright– The Wedding

‘We didn’ t know the wedding was happening till a month before !’

-

TOWIE’s Jess Wright, 36, has finally met her Mr Right, and now ITVBe and ITV Hub is inviting viewers to follow the reality TV favourite, as she prepares for the showbiz wedding of the year. Jess Wright: The Wedding chronicles the reality star and her businessman fiancée William Lee Kemp’s journey to the altar, as they stage their dream wedding, a star-studded event on the paradise island of Mallorca. The 90-minute special follows Jess and William in the leadup to the big day – but having delayed their nuptials once already, will it be a case of second time lucky? Jess tells us more...

Your wedding was postponed several times due to the pandemic – how difficult was that?

It was really, really tricky, especially because we were getting married abroad. It was manic, we didn’t even know if it was happening a month before it went ahead. It was a year of ups and downs. A lot of procrastinating. We feel so grateful we got there. There were a few of our friends who couldn’t come, my maid of honour had just had a baby so couldn’t get there, and some of the others because of restrictions.

Did you have any ‘bridezilla’ moments?!

I didn’t – until we got to Mallorca. That week I found so stressful. There was a lot going on, a lot of pressure on me and Will. When the pressure is on you and it’s your big day, it can be really intense. I had a couple of little outbursts, but in the year leading up to it, I was quite good!

Any good advice for brides-to-be?

Where to begin? I would say just go with your gut

and your own ideas and opinions. Don’t sweat the small stuff. Don’t try to think of every single detail, which I did a little bit. There will always be things that don’t work out in the end, and no one else will notice. It’s not worth stressing out about things. You just want a big, fun amazing day with your family.

We’ve got Jess Wright:

The Wedding – if you could title your next TV show, what would it be?

What a question! Well, I think a really good name for my show, as it includes a lot of family and friends, would be SoWright…
