THE TEST

We’re replicating overtaking a car on a B-road with a straightforward measure of how quickly each bike can accelerate from 40mph to 80mph in third gear. It’s a full-throttle test so rider skill shouldn’t matter, but each run is repeated a handful of times and an average taken to ensure repeatability. A Gps-based datalogger keeps score.
