You’d think RR means more extreme, but the latest triple is a more refined creation

MV Agusta’s finely-sculpted offerings are a tad stubborn and can be quite demanding, but are nothing like as fickle and harsh as they used to be. And refinement increases with the new 800 The latest RR version of the three-cylinder Brutale is still fruity, with new cams and engine management giving significan­t power of 140bhp at 13,100rpm. Yet it also suffers from far less vibration, has lower emissions, and a whopping 50% noise reduction. Riding position, chunky Marzocchi forks and Sachs shock have what they’re calling a ‘less demanding set-up’. There’s also an RC version of the Brutale-based Dragster model. Like the other new RC versions of models within MV’S range, it’s a high-spec model finished in a race paint scheme based on their WSB and successful WSS race bikes.
