High-quality suspension and new superbike brakes for the new hopped-up Zed thousand

Despite the new Z900 (see ‘Also coming’, right) the engaging Z1000 supernaked continues. Not only that, but it’s available in a flash new R version as well. In true tradition of attaching an R to the end of a model name, the Zed has an Öhlins rear shock (with remote preload adjuster) and altered fork settings to match. Braking is now by Brembo M50 calipers, clamping down on different discs, and pumped via stainless steel braided lines. The ECU settings have been tampered with too, for a smoother power deliver.
