Iffy shades of grey
I recently came back to Bike after a couple of forays into other mag subscriptions and haven’t been disappointed. My
only recent concern was in Learning Curves (p116) in the November issue. Talking about following James Haydon’s lines around Rockingham you write that ‘it helps when they are leaving darkies at every opportunity’. I honestly thought that we’d left this kind of remark back in the dark ages – they weren’t appropriate then and they’re not appropriate now. We all know what’s meant and I’m sure there was no intention to offend, but ‘black lines’ would have been sufficient. Otherwise, please keep up the good work. Andrew Greer , email
