Epic turn, epic fail

The article about the Brecon Beacons (Bike, Nov 2016) made me smile when I read ‘enjoy the epic corner just past the village of Cynghordy’. This is a left/ right combination when travelling from Llandovery. Exactly 15 years ago this month I put my Triumph Sprint into the hedge on this very lefthander. The only damage was a smashed screen. I managed to miss the telegraph pole and the gate leading to the field behind the hedge. The hedge did not fare so well. Half of it’s still missing.
