There have only been three ac­cepted oc­cur­rences of Western Orphean War­bler (plus a fur­ther four which may have been Western or East­ern). These in­cluded a longstay­ing win­ter bird at St Brides, Pem­brokeshire in 2013, and the year be­fore a first-sum­mer at Hartle­pool Head­land, Cleve­land/durham on 29 May. It is a large Sylvia War­bler, a bit like a gi­ant Lesser Whitethroat.
