1 From Pul­pit Hill, scan for overhead vis­i­ble mi­gra­tion of Sky Lark, Meadow Pipit, Pied and Grey Wag­tails, Black­bird, Song Thrush, Red­wing, Field­fare, Star­ling, Chaffinch, Green­finch, Goldfinch, Lin­net and Reed Bunt­ing, plus a chance of redpoll, Bram­bling and Siskin. A good spot for rap­tors mov­ing along the scarp slope. 2 The wood­land edge should yield tit flocks, com­plete with Gold­crest and maybe Firecrest, plus finch and thrush flocks, along with Green and Great Spot­ted Wood­peck­ers, Jay and Treecreeper. 3 Check park­land for Lit­tle Owl and Nuthatch in the ma­ture oaks. Stock Dove, Green Wood­pecker, Red­wing, Field­fare, Mis­tle Thrush, corvids and wood­peck­ers feed on the grass­lands, along with finches and buntings. Scrub at­tracts the likes of Wood­cock, Firecrest, Bullfinch, Long-tailed Tit and Yel­lowham­mer. 4 Arable farm­land can pull in flocks of Lap­wing, Golden Plover, Sky Lark, Meadow Pipit, gulls, corvids and par­tridges.
