Bird Watching (UK) - - Go Birding -

1 Scan the bay from the seal wall for Red-throated Diver, Great Crested Grebe, Common Scoter and the chance of an auk, plus Rock Pipit, Turn­stone, Ringed Plover, Red­shank, Dun­lin, San­der­ling and Oys­ter­catcher along the fore­shore. 2 From the bridge, scan the graz­ing marshes for flocks of Lap­wing, Golden Plover and Curlew, plus Grey Heron, Lit­tle Egret, Snipe, Water Rail and Green Sand­piper along the drainage ditches. 3 An­other good spot to check for feed­ing waders and graz­ing wild­fowl is along the banks of Wallers’ Haven, plus flocks of corvids, Stock Dove, winter thrushes and gulls, and pass­ing Short-eared Owl. 4 The bushes and small wood at­tracts rov­ing tit flocks that may harbour a Gold­crest, Chif­fchaff or Black­cap. Great Spot­ted Wood­pecker, Treecreeper, Red­wing and Field­fare are also likely among common tits, thrushes and finches.
