HIGH­LIGHTS: A Great White Egret vis­ited Daven­try CP (2nd). Stan­ford Reser­voir hosted a Night­jar (12th), the only one in Northants this year, Lit­tle Tern (19th) and Wry­neck (26th). An ‘Azorean Gull’ was at Stan­wick GP (24th-25th), with a Shag (25th-30th). A Pied Fly­catcher, the year’s first, was at Den­ton Wood (31st).

BLUE­BERRY FARM, MAIDWELL:

Three Stonechats, four Whin­chats, two Red­starts, a Tree Pipit, Wheatear, Cross­bill, Grasshop­per War­bler, Golden Plover and Hobby were seen.

CLIF­FORD HILL GP:

Med and Caspian Gulls vis­ited. Waders in­cluded San­der­ling, Curlew, Ringed and Lit­tle Ringed Plovers, Dun­lin, and Green and Common Sand­pipers. A Red­start was noted.

DAVEN­TRY CP:

There was a Gar­ganey (from 25th), two Caspian, seven Yel­low-legged and two Med Gulls, Whim­brel, Black-tailed God­wit, seven Green and six Common Sand­pipers, four Ringed Plovers, Dun­lin and Lit­tle Ringed Plover. Red­starts were present on three days.

EARLS BAR­TON GP:

There was a Spot­ted Red­shank (25th), Lit­tle Stint (12th-14th), nine Black-tailed God­wits and a Green­shank. Marsh Har­rier, Pere­grine and Hobby hunted. There were three Med Gulls, two Yel­low-legged Gulls, a Lit­tle Gull and 10 Black Terns.

HARRINGTON AIR­FIELD:

There was a Black Red­start (30th), two Red­starts, two Whin­chats, two Tree Pip­its, two Tur­tle Doves, a Wheatear, Hobby and Marsh Har­rier.

HOLLOWELL RESER­VOIR:

Ospreys vis­ited twice. There was a Pere­grine, Med Gull, Black-tailed God­wit, Green­shank, two Curlews, Green and Common Sand­pipers, Dun­lin, Ringed Plover, Red­start and Whin­chat.

PITSFORD RESER­VOIR:

Marsh Har­ri­ers were seen three times and Ospreys four. There were six Red-crested Pochards, a Gold­en­eye, Gar­ganey, Med Gull, Yel­low-legged Gull, six Common and two Green Sand­pipers, Ringed and Lit­tle Ringed Plovers, Dun­lin, Curlew, Red­start, Hobby and two Wil­low Tits.

STAN­WICK GP:

Three Med, six Caspian and 70 Yel­low-legged Gulls were logged. A Turn­stone re­mained for 13 days, and a Green­shank, Ruff, four Green and four Common Sand­pipers, a Ringed Plover and Dun­lin were recorded.

OTHER SITES:

Sy­well CP hosted two Red-crested Pochards, six Cross­bills and a Whin­chat. Two Whin­chats were at Fine­don. Bor­ough Hill held two Whin­chats and a Red­start. Red­starts were at Ey­don (five), Fawsley Park (three) and Twywell. Two were at Hel­li­don, along with a Marsh Har­rier, two Pere­grines and two Whin­chats. Four Tree Pip­its, a Whin­chat and Red­start were near Wal­grave. Bod­ding­ton Reser­voir had two Med Gulls, two Yel­low-legged Gulls and a Common Sand­piper.
