BRANDON MARSH NR:

A juvenile Purple Heron was on East Marsh (17th). There was a Whinchat (26th), and a good selection of waders late on, including Ruff, Greenshank, Ringed Plover, Dunlin and Green Sandpiper.

DRAYCOTE WATER:

There was a juvenile Wood Sandpiper (1st-3rd), a Scaup (3rd), a Little Gull briefly (12th) with four (18th), five Black Terns and two juvenile Caspian Gulls (20th), and two Shags (24th-30th at least) with 70 Black Terns through (24th). MORTON BAGOT: There was a Garganey (25th).

TAME VALLEY:

There was a Great White Egret (14th) at Middleton Lakes RSPB, and the site had Osprey (23rd), a flyover Wood Sandpiper (29th), and two Garganey (31st). Kingsbury WP had three Black Terns (19th), and Ladywalk NR had two Sandwich Terns (25th).

OTHER SITES:

A Great White Egret was at Alvecote Pools (8th-31st at least). An adult Night Heron was on a pond in a private garden in Nuneaton (13th).
