WAR­WICK­SHIRE

BRAN­DON MARSH NR:

A ju­ve­nile Purple Heron was on East Marsh (17th). There was a Whin­chat (26th), and a good se­lec­tion of waders late on, in­clud­ing Ruff, Green­shank, Ringed Plover, Dun­lin and Green Sand­piper.

DRAYCOTE WATER:

There was a ju­ve­nile Wood Sand­piper (1st-3rd), a Scaup (3rd), a Lit­tle Gull briefly (12th) with four (18th), five Black Terns and two ju­ve­nile Caspian Gulls (20th), and two Shags (24th-30th at least) with 70 Black Terns through (24th). MOR­TON BAGOT: There was a Gar­ganey (25th).

TAME VAL­LEY:

There was a Great White Egret (14th) at Mid­dle­ton Lakes RSPB, and the site had Osprey (23rd), a fly­over Wood Sand­piper (29th), and two Gar­ganey (31st). Kings­bury WP had three Black Terns (19th), and Lady­walk NR had two Sand­wich Terns (25th).

OTHER SITES:

A Great White Egret was at Alve­cote Pools (8th-31st at least). An adult Night Heron was on a pond in a pri­vate gar­den in Nuneaton (13th).
