100 win­ter­ing Great White Egrets re­mained, in­clud­ing at least 25 in the Chew Val­ley/blag­don ar­eas un­til at least 17th. Glossy Ibises were seen at Wat Tyler CP and else­where in Es­sex through­out, Coss­ing­ton Mead­ows LWT, (Le­ics) on at least 12th-23rd, and in Ely (Cambs) from 15th. Desert Wheatear, Cley, Nor­folk, 28 Oc­to­ber sighted at Buck­ton (East Yorks) on 3rd-4th, Spurn Point and en­vi­rons on 5th-7th, Grainthorpe Haven south to Tet­ney and Donna Nook (Lincs) on 8th-17th and back to Wel­wick (East Yorks) from 18th-30th and an­other sup­pressed bird at Needs Ore Point (Hamp­shire) from 6th-13th. An Amer­i­can Coot was dis­cov­ered at Loch nam Feithean, Bal­ranald RSPB, North Uist (Outer He­brides) on 11th, re­main­ing un­til at least 6th De­cem­ber, while the Pur­ple Gallinule (Swamphen) at Alk­bor­ough Flats NR (North Lincs) was last re­ported on 17th just prior to win­try weather.
