Highlights

The photogenic first-winter male Eastern Black Redstart at Skinningrove Cleveland remained steadfastly in place throughout the month, showing exceptionally well to all-comers. Also, from the orange end of the plumage spectrum, a juvenile Pallid Harrier was at Welwick Saltmarsh YWT, East Yorkshire. Lincolnshire’s Purple Swamphen, at Alkborough Flats, was last reported on 13th.
