It may seem a bold move to run a moth trap in your gar­den this month, but milder nights can see a trickle – if not a flood – of in­ter­est­ing moths. Typ­i­cal lep­i­dopteran vis­i­tors in Fe­bru­ary in­clude Pale Brindled Beauty and Chest­nut, but my sneaky favourite is the Com­mon Quaker.
