KEY POINTS

1 In the reedbeds, look out for Kingfishers, Water Rails and a variety of warblers hiding among the plants.

2 In the meadows, cast your eye around for Snipe at the edges of the reedbeds and buntings, especially Reed Buntings, seeking seeds from the grasses.

3 As you venture into the woodland keep alert for Siskin, Long-tailed Tits and Green Woodpecker.
