1 Check the car park for war­blers and walk down to the re­cep­tion cen­tre look­ing out for but­ter­flies along the track. 2 Check the wood­land for mixed tit flocks that might just in­clude a Lesser Spot­ted Wood­pecker 3 Walk­ing to­wards the fen hide look out for drag­on­flies, with Nor­folk Hawker a good find along with Swal­low­tail But­ter­fly.

4 The tower hide looks over sev­eral wa­ter bod­ies. The height gives a chance to scan for birds of prey and any Bit­terns fly­ing over. 5 Lis­ten along the Lock­ford path for Bearded Tits and Cetti’s War­blers. Maybe you will hear the squeal of a Wa­ter Rail or the rat­tling of a Wren.
