OTHER SUR­REY WA­TER­WAYS: Bed­ding­ton SF had a Glau­cous Gull (15th-21st), Ice­land Gull (18th-25th), a Caspian Gull (22nd), with two (25th), and 100 Snipe plus five Jack Snipe (28th). Pen­nymead Lake in East Hors­ley held a Red-breasted Mer­ganser and 16 Goosanders. four Firecrests in pri­vate gar­dens in Frim­ley. Waxwings were seen at sev­eral sites, max­i­mum 17 at Hale (26th).

LON­DON WET­LAND CEN­TRE: Six Black-tailed God­wits flew through (3rd). A Bit­tern, Brent Goose, Jack Snipe, Pin­tail, Shel­duck and Wa­ter Pipit were noted.

STAINES RESER­VOIRS: A Slavo­nian Grebe was at Staines for most of the month. Other bird records in­cluded Black-necked Grebe, Brent Goose, Gold­en­eye, Pin­tail, Scaup and Wa­ter Pipit.

OTHER SITES: Great Grey Shrikes were at Farn­ham Heath, Fren­sham Com­mon, Thurs­ley Com­mon, and Old Dean Com­mon (6th). Four Hawfinches were in Eff­in­g­ham For­est (14th). A Dart­ford War­bler was at Hol­methorpe SP (28th). Peter Bryant HIGH­LIGHTS: A Ring-billed Gull was at Water­loo Bridge (2nd). Two Siberian Chif­fchaffs were at Poul­ter Park, Morden (12th).
