EAST SUSSEX: The Serin remained around Tide Mills (to 26th at least). The Great Grey Shrike was still at Ashdown Forest (to 22nd at least). A Great White Egret was seen at Rye Harbour (3rd-17th), with a Bittern and Hen Harrier also there (3rd). Another Great White Egret was recorded at Camber (5th-8th). There was still a good scattering of Waxwings acrossn the county. A Twite was at Cuckmere Haven (5th-24th). WEST SUSSEX: The Rose-coloured Starling remained in Crawley throughout the month. Great Grey Shrikes were seen at Waltham Brooks (to 26th) and at Bury Hill (22nd). A Siberian Chiffchaff was still associatin­g with at least 15 Chiffchaff­s at Coldwaltha­m STW (22nd). Great White Egret sightings came from Arundel WWT (1st & 26th), North and South Stoke, and Burpham (28th). Two Snow Buntings were recorded at East Head (8th). Sixteen Bewick’s Swans were briefly at Arundel (9th). Three Hawfinches were at Westdean Woods (10th).
