LEICESTERSHIRE
HIGHLIGHTS: The Glossy Ibis remained at Cossington and Watermead CP. A Great White Egret was at Eyebrook Reservoir (22nd-27th). Waxwings continued to build up, including 150 at Glenfield (11th) and 80 in Western Park, Leicester (20th).
CHARNWOOD: Swithland Reservoir had a Ruddy Duck (8th-11th), 21 Mandarins (26th) and 48 Goldeneyes (22nd). A Mediterranean Gull was at Cropston Reservoir (25th). Two Stonechats were at Charnwood Lodge (19th).
NORTH-WEST LEICESTERSHIRE: A Black Redstart was at Measham (7th). Pairs of Stonechats were at Longmoor Lake and Hicks Lodge. Two Glaucous Gulls were on Albion Landfill (11th). A Mediterranean Gull was on Albert Village Lake (26th).
SOUTH LEICESTERSHIRE: Shawell A5 Lagoons held an Iceland Gull and Glaucous Gull (25th). An Iceland Gull roosted at Stanford Reservoir (25th), where the Long-tailed Duck remained.
OTHER SITES: Ten Bramblings were still at Owston (6th). A Short-eared Owl was near Great Dalby (19th). Three Stonechats were at Eyebrook Reservoir. Steve Lister (01509 829 495, www.lros.org.uk)
