HIGHLIGHTS: The Great Grey Shrike remained around Soddy Gap. A Great White Egret was at Arnside (9th and 28th) and Holme (9th). An Iceland Gull was at Bowness-on-windermere throughout, with a Long-tailed Duck (1st-7th). A Glaucous Gull was at Workington (1st-6th). A Black Guillemot was at Whitehaven (3rd). The Smew remained at Siddick Ponds (3rd-27th), with 14 Whooper Swans (5th). A Black Redstart was at Whitehaven (5th-10th). Five Hawfinches were at Dalton Crags (6th). Two Long-tailed Ducks were at Grune Point (7th). A Jack Snipe was at Tewet Tarn (8th), with five at Askham Fell (8th), one at Sunbiggin Tarn (13th-18th), and three at Askham-in-furness (19th). A Little Stint was at Port Carlisle (10th-21st). A Smew was at Derwent Water (12th-14th). A Waxwing was at Skinburnne­ss (8th), with 16 at Milnthorpe (8th), one at Penrith (10th), eight at Brigsteer (14th), four at Barrow-in-furness (14th), 25 at Kendal (16th), one at Cockermout­h (16th), and 11 at Carlisle (19th). Three Scaup were at South Walney (9th), one at Grinsdale (12th), and nine at Castle Carrock Reservoir (13th). A tundra Bean Goose was with 2,000 Pinkfeet at Walby (15th). Six Eurasian Whitefront­s were at Easton (21st). A Greenland-race bird was at Wedholme Flow (22nd), with seven at Oulton (23rd). A Snow Bunting was on Blencathra (22nd).
