ELAN VALLEY: At Dol y Mynach there were 36 Mandarins, 16 Goldeneye, Kingfisher, 14 Goosanders and Dipper. Short-eared Owl, Curlew, Snipe and Reed Bunting were at Rhosmehyryn with Merlin and Hen Harrier at Blaen Fign. Flocks of Crossbills were found at Gwaelod y Rhos, Coed Aberelan and Penglaneinon. At Wenrhydd were Red Grouse, Stonechat, Teal and Hen Harrier. Gors Goch held Short-eared Owl, Snipe and Jack Snipe. Barn Owls were at Tynllidiart and Penglaneinon. Glannau held Brambling and Woodcock. WYE VALLEY: Willow Tits were at Cors y Llyn, Newbridge Bog, Brynwern and Glanwye. Twelve Whooper Swans were near Llowes as well as 135 Canada Geese, 260 Mallard, 85 Teal, three Little Egret and 26 Wigeon. Pwll Patti held 125 Teal, 85 Wigeon, Little Egret, 34 Mallard, Peregrine and Tree Sparrow. Hawfinches were in gardens at Glasbury, Llowes and Clyro where there were 110 Siskins, Brambling, Lesser Spotted Woodpecker and Long-eared Owl. Kingfishers were at Aberedw, Fford Fawr, Rhayader and Builth Road. Goosanders included 16 at Glanwye and 11 at Llanfaredd. Mandarin were at Llanstephan, Erwood, Glasbury and Llanwrthwl. Oystercatchers were at Glanwye, Glasbury and Clyro. At Glasbury and Fford Fawr were 38 Curlew, 22 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, six Reed Buntings, Little Egret, Marsh Tit, 45 redpolls, 30 Siskins, Woodcock, Snipe and Peregrine. OTHER SITES: Radnor Forest held 110 Crossbills, 12 Woodcocks, 160 Siskins, Hawfinch, Brambling and Willow Tit. Waxwings were at Newbridge, Cascob, New Radnor, Howey, Llandrindod, Llanyre and Llanelwedd. Nantmel Tip held Water Rail, Snipe and Reed Bunting. At Llandrinod Lake were Great Crested Grebe, two Water Rail, six Reed Buntings, Marsh Tit and Brambling. Rhosgoch Bog held 75 Snipe, eight Jack Snipe, Hen Harrier, Teal, Short-eared Owl, Woodcock, Reed Bunting, Willow Tit, Marsh Tit and Kestrel.
