ELAN VAL­LEY: At Dol y My­nach there were 36 Man­darins, 16 Gold­en­eye, King­fisher, 14 Goosanders and Dip­per. Short-eared Owl, Curlew, Snipe and Reed Bunting were at Rhos­me­hyryn with Mer­lin and Hen Har­rier at Blaen Fign. Flocks of Cross­bills were found at Gwaelod y Rhos, Coed Abere­lan and Penglaneinon. At Wen­rhydd were Red Grouse, Stonechat, Teal and Hen Har­rier. Gors Goch held Short-eared Owl, Snipe and Jack Snipe. Barn Owls were at Tyn­l­lidiart and Penglaneinon. Glan­nau held Bram­bling and Wood­cock. WYE VAL­LEY: Wil­low Tits were at Cors y Llyn, New­bridge Bog, Bryn­wern and Glan­wye. Twelve Whooper Swans were near Llowes as well as 135 Canada Geese, 260 Mal­lard, 85 Teal, three Lit­tle Egret and 26 Wi­geon. Pwll Patti held 125 Teal, 85 Wi­geon, Lit­tle Egret, 34 Mal­lard, Pere­grine and Tree Sparrow. Hawfinches were in gar­dens at Glas­bury, Llowes and Clyro where there were 110 Siskins, Bram­bling, Lesser Spot­ted Wood­pecker and Long-eared Owl. King­fish­ers were at Aberedw, Fford Fawr, Rhayader and Builth Road. Goosanders in­cluded 16 at Glan­wye and 11 at Llan­faredd. Man­darin were at Llanstephan, Er­wood, Glas­bury and Llan­wrthwl. Oys­ter­catch­ers were at Glan­wye, Glas­bury and Clyro. At Glas­bury and Fford Fawr were 38 Curlew, 22 Lesser Black-backed Gulls, six Reed Buntings, Lit­tle Egret, Marsh Tit, 45 red­polls, 30 Siskins, Wood­cock, Snipe and Pere­grine. OTHER SITES: Radnor For­est held 110 Cross­bills, 12 Wood­cocks, 160 Siskins, Hawfinch, Bram­bling and Wil­low Tit. Waxwings were at New­bridge, Cas­cob, New Radnor, Howey, Llan­drindod, Llanyre and Llanel­wedd. Nant­mel Tip held Wa­ter Rail, Snipe and Reed Bunting. At Llan­drinod Lake were Great Crested Grebe, two Wa­ter Rail, six Reed Buntings, Marsh Tit and Bram­bling. Rhos­goch Bog held 75 Snipe, eight Jack Snipe, Hen Har­rier, Teal, Short-eared Owl, Wood­cock, Reed Bunting, Wil­low Tit, Marsh Tit and Kestrel. Golden Plover flocks were at The Beg­wyns, Ire­land Moor, Brn y Maen, Red Lion Hill and Bea­con Hill.
