Highlights

Once again, the ‘rarest’ bird in the region was a Red-breasted Goose, with a large goose flock in Lancashire, staying until 18 February. Cattle Egrets were at Southport (five roosted) Birkdale (up to six), Marshside RSPB, (two), both Lancashire, and at Burton Mere Westlands RSPB, Cheshire.
