Bird Watching (UK) - - Uk Bird Sightings -

HIGH­LIGHTS: The long-stay­ing and pop­u­lar drake Ring-necked Duck re­mained at the Culic. A Green-winged Teal was at Carse­breck (3rd). The Lit­tle Egret also re­mained at Loch Leven through­out. Waxwing num­bers de­clined no­tice­ably but a flock of 60 was in Couper Angus (10th). A Siberian Chif­fchaff was re­ported from Perth (19th). Up to 17 Hawfinches were at Scone Palace (19th). One hun­dred Whooper Swans were at Broom of Dal­re­och (6th ) with a sin­gle Green­land White-fronted Goose nearby (16th). Wild­fowl high­lights at Loch Leven in­cluded 25 Scaup (27th), three Smew (14th) and four Slavo­nian Grebes (27th). A flock of 130 Bram­blings were at Tully­bel­ton (27th). A no­table flock of 35 Bullfinches was at Mul­lach Coire nan Dearcag (19th). Two hun­dred Lesser Red­polls were at Strath­baan (18th) and of note were five Mealy Red­polls at Gle­nea­gles (17th).
