HIGHLIGHTS: The long-staying and popular drake Ring-necked Duck remained at the Culic. A Green-winged Teal was at Carsebreck (3rd). The Little Egret also remained at Loch Leven throughout. Waxwing numbers declined noticeably but a flock of 60 was in Couper Angus (10th). A Siberian Chiffchaff was reported from Perth (19th). Up to 17 Hawfinches were at Scone Palace (19th). One hundred Whooper Swans were at Broom of Dalreoch (6th ) with a single Greenland White-fronted Goose nearby (16th). Wildfowl highlights at Loch Leven included 25 Scaup (27th), three Smew (14th) and four Slavonian Grebes (27th). A flock of 130 Bramblings were at Tullybelto­n (27th). A notable flock of 35 Bullfinche­s was at Mullach Coire nan Dearcag (19th). Two hundred Lesser Redpolls were at Strathbaan (18th) and of note were five Mealy Redpolls at Gleneagles (17th).
