Bird Watching (UK)

WAYMARKERS

-

1Park your car opposite the entrance to the public footpath along the side of the lake.

2Check the reeds for warblers and buntings. An area of willow scrub had some extra warbler species and also mixed tits.

3Walk along the path check the vegetation for nesting birds so as not to spend too much time keeping them off their nests. Scan out into the lakes for hirundines, duck and also passing waders.

4As you come to the end of the path check the individual trees for possible loafing owls. Listen for song by the woodland. A public path drops down through the field and enters the wood lower down.

5If you have not been before the big house and gardens are well worth a visit with an arboretum and a different view of the lake.
