Bird Watching (UK)

WAYMARKERS

-

1Park in Cregneash and walk around the folk village enjoying sparrows, garden birds, corvids and so forth. Gulls wheel above you. Head south east towards the Chasms.

2At 191 665 gain the coast path. Walk around Bay Stacka checking seabirds and looking for Stonechat, Sky Lark and raptors, waders at low tide maybe. Continue around Spanish Head for more of the same as the Calf comes into view.

3After more than another mile take a deserved rest at the visitors’ centre and add to your list from the car park – Oystercatcher, Cormorant, Chough and Grey Seals should be opposite your seat. Decide on your route – A31 or a much longer detour north on the coast path turning right maybe for Mull Hill!
