BUCKINGHAM­SHIRE

HIGHLIGHTS: A Cattle Egret was at College Lake (12th). Great White Egrets were at Stowe

(28th) and Manor Farm (30th). Marsh Harriers were at College Lake (1st) and Gallows Bridge (24th). Ospreys flew over Little Marlow GP (4th), Newport Pagnell (7th), Bradwell Lakes (18th) and Linford (21st). Two Black-winged Stilts at Little Marlow GP (20th) were only the third county record. A Temminck’s Stint was there (30th). Two Little Terns were at both Foxcote Reservoir (9th) and Little Marlow GP (30th). A Sandwich Tern was at Dorney Lake (12th). A Short-eared Owl remained at Gallows Bridge (to 24th). Waxwings were at Little Chalfont (3rd) and Oldbrook, Milton Keynes (25th).

COLLEGE LAKE: There was a Dunlin (30th), Jack Snipe (22nd-29th) and Greenshank (30th).

LITTLE MARLOW GP: There were two Ringed Plovers (30th), Dunlin (17th & 29th-30th), two Mediterran­ean Gulls (30th), a Black Tern (30th), an Arctic Tern (18th), with two (25th), and a Grasshoppe­r Warbler (29th).

MANOR FARM: There were two Ringed Plovers (4th), a Ruff (22nd) and Grasshoppe­r Warbler (from 26th).

OTHER SITES: A Dunlin was at Pitstone Quarry (30th). A Greenshank was at Linford (20th). Tree Pipits were at Steps Hill (6th) and Pitstone Hill (25th). Redstarts were at seven sites, including four at Rowsham (17th-18th). Whinchats were at Aylesbury STW (17th), Pitstone Hill (23rd), Quainton Hills (25th) and Springfiel­d Quarry (27th-30th). Ring Ouzels were seen on the hills (from 2nd), with three at Ivinghoe (11th) and one at Tattenhoe Park, Milton Keynes (24th). Three Grasshoppe­r Warblers were at the private Arncott MOD site (29th). Ten Tree Sparrows were at Little Linford Wood (22nd). Calvert Lakes had a Dunlin (29th) and Arctic Tern (24th). Gallows Bridge had a Greenshank (24th) and Grasshoppe­r Warbler (13th). Olney held a Black-tailed Godwit (29th) and Grasshoppe­r Warbler (17th). Startop’s End Reservoir logged a Dunlin (17th) and Black Tern (30th). Willen Lakes had two Pintails (9th), a Whimbrel (22nd) and two Arctic Terns (26th).
