EAST SUS­SEX: A male Blue Rock Thrush was at Beachy Head (6th), thought to be the same one that win­tered in Glouces­ter­shire. Two Cat­tle Egrets were around Litling­ton (1st-15th). A Great White Egret was at Splash Point (23rd). A fe­male Bluethroat was briefly at Cuck­mere Haven (25th). A Ken­tish Plover was at Tide Mills (26th). A Red-rumped Swal­low was at Ar­ling­ton Reser­voir (27th-28th). A Wry­neck was at Bex­hill (27th). A Crane went over Bewl Wa­ter (27th). A Black Kite was over Ash­down For­est (27th). A Wry­neck was at East­bourne (30th), plus two Lit­tle Terns.

WEST SUS­SEX: A Tawny Pipit was at Pagham Har­bour LNR (26th). An Alpine Swift was over Lit­tle­hamp­ton (12th). A Black Kite was over Pet­worth (14th). A Pur­ple Heron was around Med­merry RSPB and Pagham Har­bour (20th-22nd). A White-spot­ted Bluethroat showed well at Wood Mills NR (20th). A Hoopoe was at Church Nor­ton (21st-22nd). A Spot­ted Crake was briefly at Fulk­ing (23rd). Two Black-winged Stilts were at Shore­ham-by-sea (24th). A Cat­tle Egret was at Pagham Har­bour LNR (24th).
