BUFF-TIP

On the enchanting mornings when my moth trap holds a Buff-tip, I instigate a game of hide-and-seek with my young daughter. I gently place the moth on one of several twigs, and ask her to spot it. This cryptic creature takes camouflage to extremes. Once it has shuffled into place, the moth looks for all the world like a snapped-off, dried-up twig with its bark flaking off.
