WHAT A BEAUTY! Moth trapping remains arduous, with small catches, humble diversity and an excess of greys and browns. But persevere, for the delight of catching an Oak Beauty renders all endeavours worthwhile. This hefty moth is attractively striped in silver and bronze, then dusted with black speckles. Contrary to its name, it is not restricted to oaks, and particularly favours suburban gardens.
