WHERE TO SEE THEM?

Look for the Gadwall in gravel pits, reservoirs and coastal wetlands in winter. For breeding Gadwall sightings, look in the shallow edges of lakes and gravel pits with vegetation. They can be seen during any time of the year but chances are better in winter. Mainly found in the Midlands and south-east of England, eastern central Scotland, eastern Northern Ireland and the south-east of Ireland, and south-east Wales.
