BERKSHIRE

HIGHLIGHTS:

The flock of 16 Parrot Crossbills remained at Wishmoor Bottom. Great White Egrets were at Moor Green Lakes (3rd-22nd), Fleethill Farm, Finchampstead (22nd-26th), Jealott’s Hill (5th), Padworth Lane GP (14th) and Theale GP (16th). Two Avocets were at Queen Mother Reservoir (4th). A Siberian Chiffchaff was at Sandhurst SF (29th).

DINTON PASTURES CP:

Highlights included a Bittern (3rd-7th), three Shelducks (17th-18th), two Ferruginous Ducks, three Water Rails, a Jack Snipe (2nd-17th) and three Hawfinches (2nd-14th).

LOWER FARM GP:

There was a Jack Snipe (9th) and three Hawfinches (4th).

MOOR GREEN LAKES:

There was a Black Redstart (18th), Dartford Warbler (28th) and seven Hawfinches.

THEALE GP:

There was a Shelduck (30th) and three Red-crested Pochards (2nd-9th).

OTHER SITES:

A Merlin was at Bury Down (7th). Firecrests were at Wraysbury GP (5th), Thatcham Marsh (5th), Whiteknight’s Park, Reading (12th-22nd), Finchampstead Ridges (28th) and Wokingham (28th). Hawfinches included one at Padworth (2nd), two at Borough Marsh (19th), two at Greenham Common (5th), three at Thatcham Marsh (3rd-9th), four at Mortimer (5th-16th) and 90 at Basildon Park (3rd-31st).
