A round-up of birds seen in your area during December
Perhaps the most exciting rarity in the region this month was a Killdeer, which turned up on St Mary’s, Scilly, on 29 December, apparently first seen in a chicken field, not far from the airport, then again nearby in the afternoon, but not found on New Year’s Eve.
